Celebrate or Start Again

It’s June, and for some, you’re halfway to your 2023 goal; for others, well . . .

This is a great month to celebrate or start again. If you’ve been actively following your plan, then take a moment and celebrate where you are towards your goal. Here are some celebration suggestions:

  • Post it on social media. This is one of the few times I promote social media. Use it to celebrate your progress. It could encourage someone else to get started.
  • Treat yourself. Plan a simple celebration activity or dinner that rewards your hard work but doesn’t throw you off target.

Maybe you hit a few of life’s bumps and you haven’t followed through with your goal. You don’t have to wait until next year. This is the halfway point. Start again. Try this:

  • Decide to try again.
  • Set a smaller, more manageable, goal.
  • Think about what caused you to stop, and if possible, create a plan around that obstacle in the future.
  • Set a goal to go one day more, then when you complete that day, go one day more.
