Refuel Your Mind and Body

When refueling your car, what are you required to do? You must stop. You must choose the correct fuel. You must wait.

Similar to the car, you must make time to STOP, CHOOSE the correct fuel for yourself, and give yourself TIME to refuel. Refueling is necessary in order to create ‘real positive energy that helps you overcome obstacles and challenges to create success,’ asserts Jon Gordon in his book, The Energy Bus.

Refueling your mind and body is essential!

We all need different types of fuel at different times. Have you stopped to consider what it is you need to do to refuel for the coming fall months? Maybe you need a combination of fuels. Consider practicing mindfulness, channeling creativity, physical movement, decreasing cognitive noise, exercising gratitude, social interactions, journaling, playing, sleeping.

What might prevent refueling and what can you do?

  • Lack of resources - Consider what resources are available - it doesn’t have to be perfect! No money in the budget for date night? Have a picnic dinner in the park. No gym membership? Check out YouTube instructors or take a brisk walk.
  • Forgetfulness - Spend 10 minutes on Sunday to look at your calendar and schedule your refueling. Same time, same place weekly will help you build that habit!
  • Too costly - Any time we choose one thing, we must say no to something else. Be intentional and know you can’t do it all! What is it you need to say no to? A streaming subscription? Daily fun drink? Social media app?

PLAN for it and you can do it!

Your DREAM4 Coach will be happy to help you brainstorm ways to help you refuel and build that positive energy!
